Daniel Rawlings is a minor character in The Magnus Archives, first appearing in MAG 1 as a victim of the Anglerfish who disappeared in December of 2006 from Old Fishmarket Close in Edinburgh.
He reappears in MAG 54 as the owner of the Trophy Room, a taxidermy shop in June 2013. His eyes are now glassy and empty, suggesting that he has been taxidermied. In MAG 96 it is revealed that he was eventually killed by Gertrude Robinson when she stole the Gorilla Skin from the store.
In MAG 119, we learn his skin was possessed by the same being that inhabits the skin of Sarah Baldwin during season 3, referred to as one of "hundreds of shells."
