Jane Prentiss is a woman of unknown age and origin. She appears to be possessed by, or contaminated with, some kind of parasitic worms. She lived and worked in Archway, working in a shop that sold crystals called Good Energies (MAG 32). During this time, she seems to have undergone some breakdown, possibly over finances and being rejected by friends leading to an unstable mental state. She left her job following an infestation of ants in the basement (MAG 32).

She was found by police with her arm in some organic matter, not unlike a wasps nest, and she was rushed to hospital. Whilst the nurses were trying to restrain her she expelled worms into the eyes of those people there, killing all 6 of them, and the 7th broke his neck fleeing from her.

The Flesh Hive

Jane was infected with small parasitic worms. The worms are around an inch long, with silver segmented bodies and blackened heads. She seems to have infected Harriet Lee (MAG 6) who passed the infection into Timothy Hodge (MAG 26), who was later killed by Sasha.

When Martin Blackwood attempts to investigate Carlos Vittery, she pursues him and traps him in his home (MAG 22).

It is not clear what link between the worms and Jane is. They do not appear to be telepathically linked in any way, as she didn't appear to be alerted when Martin crushed one - however, in her statement she referrs to hearing their call as a "song".

The Siege of the Archives

Over the course of a few months, Jane Prentiss started to invade the passages beneath the Archives (MAG 41). On the 29th July 2016, Jonathan Sims accidentally discovered Prentiss' worms within the walls of the Archives (MAG 38). She actively engaged in a short siege of the Archives, where she was found destroying some of the paper cases (MAG 39).

Jane Prentiss was eventually destroyed when Elias activated the CO2 suppression system, killing both her and the flesh worms that infest her. Her body is destroyed, via cremation (MAG 40 and MAG 55).
